Baby Class

ABOUT OUR CURRICULUM FOR BABY CLASS SKILLS:
Children will be able to do all the following by the end of the school year.

LANGUAGE READINESS

  • Can repeat sentences of short words.
  • Can understand and verbalize positional words.
  • Can tell own sex,age and full name.
  • Can identify tastes.
  • Can speak clearly and easily understood.
  • Can recognize letters orally or visually.
  • Can match sounds to pictures.
  • Can recognize and name objects in environment and articles of clothing.

MATH / SCIENCE READINESS

  • Can recognize shapes.
  • Can count objects from 1-10.
  • Can understand big – tall – little – short…etc.
  • Can identify the parts of the body.


MOTOR SKILLS


Can develop eye-hand coordination, string beads, use crayons, cut with safe scissors….etc. Can fit small items together.


KG1 Program


FOR KG1 SKILLS
Children will be able to do all the following by the end of the school year.


LANGUAGE READINESS

  • Can tell what’s happening in a picture.
  • Can match the upper-case letters with lower-case.
  • Can hear and repeat sounds in a sequence.
  • Can blend the first two letters to pronounce them together.
  • Can read three-letter-words.
  • Can invent or retell a simple story.

MATH READINESS

  • Can identify and draw all the shapes when shown as an example.
  • Can complete and construct a simple pattern.
  • Can sort objects by colour, shapes and sizes.
  • Can arranges sizes in order.
  • Can match set of objects to numerals one through twelve.
  • Can identify the clock.


SCIENCE READINESS:

  • Can classify objects as living and non-living.
  • Can identify the five senses and choose which sense would be used for a given situation.


MOTOR SKILLS

  • Can use muscles for self-help skills, zipping jackets, tying the shoes….etc.
  • Can hold pencil correctly.
  • Can move to sequence, e.g., claps four times, and then jumps.

KG2 Program

FOR KG II SKILLS
Children will be able to do all the following by the end of the school year.


LANGUAGE READINESS

  • Can have expressive abilities in complete sentences.
  • Can identify rhyming words.
  • Can write random letters and words.
  • Can write and reads simple sentences.
  • Can identify the names of the days of the week and months of the year.


MATH READINESS

  • Can recognize, write and count 1 – 20. Can demonstrate ( with objects ) spatially related terms as in, on, under and beside.
  • Can identify the numbers of the days of the week and months of the year. Can compare quantities of sets.


SCIENCE READINESS

  • Can identify the needs of plants.
  • Can describe the ways objects moves.


MOTOR SKILLS

  • Can use muscles for self – help with a greater scale.
  • Can develop eye-hand coordination with grater accuracy.


TECHNOLOGY

Kindergarteners ( I and II ) use computers in the computer labs. Software applications appropriate for their age group will support language arts, math, science and social studies.



ART, MUSIC, LIBRARY AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Art, Music, library and physical education are included weekly in the curriculum.
